Sony Ericsson launches new mini phones, Facebook integration: "(Telecompaper) Sony Ericsson unveiled the new Xperia mini and Xperia mini pro, expected to hit the market in Q3. The smartphones come with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and run the latest version of Google's Android, Gingerbread 2.3. Both feature Sony's Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine for the 3-inch screen and HD video recording at 720p. The mini pro adds a slide-out keyboard with features such as Type & Send, which eliminates the need to open a dedicated app for each type of message, and Smart Keyboard, which triggers predictive messaging when the user slides out the keyboard. The mini pro also comes loaded with Office Suite and McAfee antivirus software. Sony Ericsson also unveiled a new integration, Facebook inside Xperia, which will be included in the new mini phones and from Q2 across the wider Xperia range in certain marekts. Facebook inside Xperia integrates social connections throughout the phone, by making Facebook immediately accessible from the most used areas of the phone such as the picture gallery, music player, phonebook and calendar. This allows users to share content easily from each application."
