Sprint looks set to make some big changes to its data plans for mobile devices.
Starting from May 8th there will be three different plans to choose from when activating mobile broadband devices like the Overdrive, MiFi and Galaxy Tab will be able to choose between 3GB a month for $44.99, 5GB a month for $59.99 or 10GB a month for $89.99. Data plans paired with an eligible Sprint phone plan will receive a $10 discount on the monthly cost. The new changes will mean Sprint prices will be essentially the same as Verizon.
In another change, the Sprint 450 Everything Data plan is getting an extra 300 minutes added to it per month at no extra charge. Sprint is also extending it’s popular instant rebate promotion – meaning you can buy a Sprint phone with a discount without having to do a mail-in rebate.
